The princess was a person for the people; always trying to please others, to appear good and supportive. But these untrue emotions and pleasing lies made her wonder; if and when she found something truly appealing , was her mind playing tricks on her or was it just her nature of pleasing others leading her actions. In every case her opinion remained clouded from herself. So she began her search for something to give her clarity, something to show her true feeling to herself.
Months passed but in vain, without being any closer to her truth; she slowly became stressed. Her cheerful smile was replaced by a stiff smirk. It fooled most but not all. After several uneventful days, an unnamed note addressed to her sparked her curiosity. It stated that:
"The Anima Rosa will give you clarity".
With rejuvenated vigour she scoured the palace library only to find several seemingly unrelated and scattered information. The legends spoke of a living crystal rose that reflected upon one's soul and showed their emotions for another. When seeing a person through its petals one could see the hue of their mind towards the other person. The hues being similar to that of the associated meaning of the colour of roses. Its location being a "mountain above the summer clouds with ancient fire sleeping". Reading that she finally knew where to find it.. the summit of Mount Ustrina.
With sights on her prize she set on a expedition to the summit. The summer clouds blocked sight of the top, but without a doubt she rode onwards and upwards. Months passed on the summit with the princess settling there in a cottage ; every day hoping today would be the day..
At last spring came and with it the first showers. The rains gave life, forests filled with sounds, droplets on the leaves; a sparkle caught the princesses's eyes. Like a jewel among the greens, there it was; the treasure of Ustrina, Anima Rosa. Her eyes filled as she went closer, finally the day had come, long last clarity was within her reach.
Surrounded by nature, there grew from the earth what could have been unnatural; but it stood as the princess of Ustrina herself. As she reached for it; blue wings landed on it and ever so peacefully rested. She moved further but the wings remained still. Her eyes shifted on to the glassy petals and what she saw changed her. She saw hundreds of reflections of the flying bug, but each of a different hue; a red, a blue , a yellow , a pink, a white.. each invoked a different feeling inside of her. What she thought as clouds in her mind was infact hiding a rainbow all along. Her feelings weren't as simple as love or hate, pity or gratitude, pride or jealousy; it was a amalgamation of all of it. Not one completely overpowered the others, none were mutually exclusive.
With this finally her smile came back and all those memories of uncertainty, a fleeting past. She no longer needed the treasure as she had found her answers. She turned back with a smile and tears, leaving the blue winged oracle with its crystal. It was time to return Home.
